Quote of the Day

Most people don’t surround their self with people who challenge them; they surround their self with those who give them permission to stay the same, and then wonder why their life never improves.

Richard Flint

So who do you hang out with?  It has been said that your income will be the average of the 5 people you hang out with most.  If you are reading this blog it is probably because you want to earn more money and live a better lifestyle.  Don’t let those around you hold you back.

Being self employed for some 30 years I’ve associated with other business owners and that’s helped me to gain the knowledge necessary to run a good business. This naturally leads to an increased income.

    Hey Sire,
Welcome back. You just hit 50 comments on my site. I guess I need a top commenter plugin just for you. 🙂

Not necessary Ned, I don’t comment just for the sake of being listed as a top commentator. Too bad others don’t feel the same as I get some people leaving a whole lot of useless comments just so they make it on the list. Waste of time really as I delete comments from people who do that.

Guess my comment should mean something 😛 “When you surround yourself with people that challenge you; you are always on edge. Every now and then you gotta hang with the lower guys to give yourself a break.” Hows that:-D

I heard some advice long ago that I’ve always taken to heart – “If you want to be great, surround yourself with greatness.” I think your post is along the same lines and is great advice for anyone. Always seek out those individuals that will make a positive difference in your life and avoid those with negativity that will drag it down. I’ve tried to live this philosophy in life and business and I feel have generally come out on top because of it.

Eric, That is a great quote too.

A friend recently said “Some people give you energy and some people drain it.” My new business associate is working out great, in part because he is someone who builds energy. – Ned
